Normally I think they charge too much for these Chantal teapots on Amazon so I waited for a good sale to purchase one. I already knew I wanted the light green sage colored one to match other items in my kitchen. And when I received it, I was so pleased! I specifically wanted that pale green color and that’s exactly what I got. It looks greener on Amazons photos and after reading the reviews about people not thinking it was green enough, I knew that is what I wanted. I didn’t want it to be as green as their photos are. So I’m glad it wasn’t. And if you’re looking for that greener color, this wont be it. This is a very light pale green. Not minty green. I also like how comfortable it is to hold the handle. Feels very sturdy and comfortable t while holding it. Im also not a fan of the tea kettles that have that switch on the handle to open the spout. I prefer this style. So I love everything about this teapot!It’s a sturdy kettle in a beautiful color, but the metal cover on the spout isn’t quite as easy to flip up as was advertised. You need to move it out of the way to pour the water, of course. But you need to use a hot pad to do so. It’s a bit awkward. Also, I didn’t realize 1.8 qt. was smaller than most kettles. This means the base is smaller, and if you cook with gas, you need to watch that the flame doesn’t char the sides. It’s probably going to last a long time, so we’ll get used to it. But the first couple of weeks of use are a little disappointing.Heats water quickly. Whistles loudly. Top is a tight fit. Looks pretty.Matches all my farmhouse look in my kitchen and is a nice quality productThis teapot is just what I needed to brighten up my stove!The handle is nice and tall above the opening on top, and the opening is nice and wide. It makes the kettle so much easier to clean, which is something that I was primarily looking for after a poor experience with an electric kettle. I've had it for a couple of weeks and so far I'm really happy with it. I have not gone out of my way to be rough with it, but typical usage has not resulted in discoloration or damage. Since you have to flip up the spout with your hand, and it's metal, that can get really hot and you need to use a mitt or towel to open it, but that's a minor complaint. Whistle isn't very loud, would mostly be an issue for the hard of hearing. I find it to be loud enough to hear for my purposes. Overall a good product, no comment on longevity, but I'm not expecting to many issuesIf you're looking for a kettle that whistles, this is not it. I'm pretty disappointed, but am outside the return window, so I'm stuck with it. The lack of whistle presents a safety hazard if you forget that it's heating and leave the stove on.Por fin. después de gastar mi dinero en teteras baratas y de pésima calidad, encontré esta que el precio es posiblemente el doble de las baratas, pero esta no se me va a derretir cómo me sucedió con la ultima.Es pesada, la válvula que silba, es de metal, tiene suficiente precio, para siempre silbar con bastante fuerza. La que tenia antes, tenia tantas fugas de presión, que casi no llegaba a silbar.Tampoco es de las mas caras. Vale la pena, si lo que quieres es una tetera que tal vez te dure toda la vida.Not quits as heavy build as our old Le Creuset kettle but solid enough. Works well on induction stove. Nice colour.
